Day 134 – May 13: Road Warrior

This has seen more than it's fair share of miles, and wear and tear. Personally, I still like the look of it. The restored ones are so very cool. But this. This has character!

Day 133 – May 12: Green Onions

Booker T and the MGs!!!
OK, it's not plural, it's only one, but it is called the Green Onion, the Mushroom or, officially, the Horton Waterspheroid! 132 feet tall, 62 feet wide and holding 500,000 gallons of water, it was completed in 1958 (the same year I was completed) and, at the time, was the world's tallest water tower.
That's just kinda cool!

Day 132 – May 11: Have A Seat

"Have a seat" is not what anyone has said here for quite some time by the look of things. This one is in front of the old, now abandoned, city bus yard building. But you never know. One of these days some ass is likely to sit here again!

Bill and Leo Are Up To No Good

This is one of my favourite photos (ca. 1965-1969) of my Dad and Grandpa . I have no idea what the circumstance is, but Dad is holding a BB gun at his side, and Grandpa has something or other behind his back. And the way that they're both smiling and knowing their personalities, I just know that there's something going on. There's a little too much mirth in those grins!

Day 131 – May 10: SLOW DOWN!

It's back again to the time of year when every three blocks there's road construction going on. There are tons of these around, and amazingly every still seems to ignore them. What's up with that?
In Canada, there's about 2,100 collisions in construction zones each year. In seven years, 2,800 road workers were hurt in collisions and 52 were killed.
Slow down.

Day 130 – May 9: Morning Moon

This day's shot is a minor re-edit of one I already posted the day it was shot. I realized later that it was my favourite shot of the day, so I just can't pick something else. A re-posting this will have to be!

Day 129 – May 8: OMG, It's Really Spring!

In fact, by the time this photo is posted, everything will likely be green. It all seems to happen overnight in Alberta, I don't know about anywhere else. But I know that I see green, and that's all I really care about. That time of year when everything truly seems to be (finally) alive. If it would only last 5 months longer every year. I'll give you a month annually to ski and snowboard. I just want the rest of the year to be green leafy trees, blue skies, and warm enough for shorts. Yes, in Alberta.
